About Me

Hey there, I am Onur! I am a PhD candidate in Computational Oncology at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) advised by Prof. Marcel Reinders and Asst. Prof. Erik van den Akker and co-supervised by Assoc. Prof Marieke Griffioen.

I am currently working on better stratification of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients using single-cell technologies and machine learning models. I am particularly interested in understanding how things change with AML in the epigenetic and transcriptional landscape.

Previously, I was a Computational Biologist at The Jackson Laboratory as a member of Ucarlab and worked on human&mice immune system aging. I had my MSc in Computer Science (2020) and BSc in Electrics and Electronics Engineering (2017) departments at Bilkent University.
